The Grinberg Method is a talk and touch-based method where the practitioner teaches you to recognize and stop automatic postures, tensions, emotional reactions, and beliefs by increasing body attention and energy.
The Grinberg Method is informed by reflexology, Chinese medicine, Aikido, Feldenkreist and other modalities.
I use the techniques of touch taught by the Grinberg Method to increase relaxation and flow in the body.

This work is about true transformation. Unfortunately there is no quick and easy way into long-lasting change. When we talk about returning to self-trust we are talking about undoing lifelong habits of disconnection from the body. This takes time and consistency. A 10-week program builds on your learning from week to week and provides the necessary structure and support for the lessons to be integrated into daily life.
It also provides you with true accompaniment as I am available throughout the process so you are not alone in the changes that will occur.

You can expect a period of talking for the purpose of defining and refining one of the patterns you struggle with most frequently in your life. We will identify how it works in the body and situations in your life where you notice it.
We will then work on a massage table, increasing somatic awareness of the pattern and using techniques of touch to increase flow and relaxation in relevant areas. Some of the work will be intense and some will be deeply restful.
There will be a period of rest and integration at the end of each session.

Absolutely possible!
We will talk to decide what structure and cadence is best for you.
-
Lots of reasons.
1) I provide direct and honest reflections about the patterns you’re struggling with as informed by my specialized training in somatic listening and foot analysis.
2) I listen to exactly what you’re wanting to achieve and design a personalized program tailored to your aim. We work for tangible results in the quality of your life.
3) I am not the expert here. Your body is. I train you to listen to your true self.
4) I work with special techniques of touch designed to increase your ability to listen to your body and allow emotional flow.
5) My previous work as a therapist has exposed me to many other healing approaches. I utilize attachment theory, Focusing, Internal Family Systems, inner bonding, the bioemotive framework, trauma work and many other approaches to inform what I do.

You will start to notice changes in your body immediately if you pay attention. Areas of pain or discomfort will start to shift, reduce, or sometimes intensify before reducing.
You will become more aware of your emotions. You will notice yourself making different decisions and your attention will begin to focus more on sensations than thoughts.
Your sleep and digestion may improve. You may notice experiences that were once tolerable become intolerable as you learn to allow your actual wants and needs to surface.

Flexibility is always possible. We can collaborate on finding a hybrid online/in-person program where the work will still be effective. Reach out and tell me your situation.

Obviously this is for you to decide. What I can say from my experience is that this work is incredibly more effective than talk therapy if you commit to it. To me there is no price tag on living your life from an embodied place rather than a mind place. I wish I had found the Grinberg Method 10 years ago.
